Trial Lawyer | Litigator | U.S. Army Combat Veteran | Assistant District Attorney, 15th Judicial District | Court-Appointed Special Master
Lance Beal is a Lafayette-area trial attorney and co-founder of Beal & Hebert, serving clients across Acadiana in small business, personal injury, successions, and construction law. A combat veteran and seasoned litigator, he brings the discipline of military command and the rigor of a prosecutor to every case.
A native of Erath, Louisiana, and a 2001 graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School, Lance enlisted in the United States Air Force before earning his Army commission in 2005. When Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck, he served as Officer-in-Charge of Nicholls State University's evacuation shelter — the first of many times he would answer the call to serve his community in crisis.
He served as an Infantry Platoon Leader and Military Intelligence Officer, advancing to Strategic Plans Officer and Intelligence Officer for the Louisiana National Guard. During Operation Enduring Freedom, he commanded a military intelligence unit in combat operations in Afghanistan, leading a theater-wide intelligence mission. Returning home, Lance earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2018 and built a practice grounded in advocacy, precision, and results.
Today, Lance serves as an Assistant District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District and has been appointed Special Master in numerous complex litigation matters — a distinction reserved for attorneys trusted to manage the most demanding cases. At Beal & Hebert, he helps small businesses grow, secures recovery for injured clients, guides families through wills and successions, and resolves construction disputes.
Lance's commitment to Acadiana extends well beyond the courtroom. For nearly a decade, he has volunteered as a youth coach across local schools — football, baseball, softball, and track. Beal & Hebert proudly supports the Acadiana Boys & Girls Club, and Lance champions charities including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. His guiding belief is simple: by making Acadiana a better place, we make Louisiana a better place.
